Beginnings
A story as complex interwoven from a film script to a comic volume has rarely occured.
In my humble oppinon it doesnt get much better than this for comics.
Arcangel the saga in my oppinon is the best written comic i have ever laid my hands on christian or secullar. Its by far the most unique and thought provoking comics. The story is about Justin who long before he was born the darkness had plans of cutting his life short. There are rules to how this game is played though.
- A demon may influence a person by speaking to them however they can never inflict direct pain on a person.Example, When Satan went to heaven to speak with God,he was allowed certain leeway,Satan was allowed to hurt Job,destroy his home even kill all whom he loved but he was not allowed to kill Job.Often times an event likethis doesnt occur, usually all a demon can do is influence a person to craft their own destruction.
- It is then up to that person as a individual during this grace period to decide what course of action to take.Every person has free will and the right to chose evil or good.
Case from the comic; Justin and his closest male friends are at a party which close friend of Justin,Chris drinks way too much.Well when it was time to go home Chris wanted to show everone his new car.Obviouslly this is a recipe for disaster.Underthe influence of demon Kuenhor Chris overan a red light killing a entire innocent family and his closest friends.Kuenhor could only sow seeds of lies into Chris' mind but that was all permitted for him to do and the same goes for angels also.
Beginnings sets up the saga quite nicely explaing the rules of the game, the roles of demons and angels and the supreme role of the Holy Spirit of God.
This comic is a must for comic book lovers especially christians.A great witnessing tool plus its a great comic.
I have never read a comic as original and complex as the saga.5 stars easily.
