There will be some spoilers below!

DEADLY CLASS #17

(By Rick Remender, Wes Craig, and Jordan Boyd)

Marcus Lopez has gone through one horrible ordeal after another. Enrolling at the Kings Dominion School of the Deadly Arts seemed like it could be a way to get his life back on some sort of track, even if it was basically a school for assassins. It was a way for him to get off the streets and he had a purpose to pursue. Of course being young and reckless, he continued getting into bad situations.

Those bad situations don't really compare to the day the final exams started. The school basically has students who are part of criminal or underworld dynasties and those that are simply new to the school. The final exam entails the killing of the students without the legacy in place, otherwise known as "rats." The results are extremely chaotic and graphic.

In most cases, any previous friendships that existed during the school year have been thrown out the window. This is a true test to everything the students have learned all year. Marcus has no choice but fight for his own survival.

Just like a normal high school, there are several different groups or cliques within. Even the cheerleaders are extremely deadly with razor sharp pom-poms.

This is just a small taste of everything that goes down within the first few pages. There's plenty more fighting, maiming, and killing contained within the issue. Things really get bonkers after this. Don't read it if you have a queasy stomach.

DEATHSTROKE #13

(By Tony Daniel, James Bonny, Paolo Pantalena, and Arif Prianto)

Deathtroke is on a mission. With his daughter, Rose, kidnapped, all signs point to Amanda Waller and her Suicide Squad. Harley Quinn has agreed to reveal Rose's location if Slade kills Waller. This resulted with them infiltrating Belle Reve with Catwoman joining them. It goes exactly as you would expect.

Individually, the three are truly formidable and can easily handle any situation on their own.

Aside from the army of guards trying to kill them, there's another problem for Deathstroke to deal with. Snakebite has kidnapped Waller and is planning on using her to escape Bell Reve. This doesn't work with Slade's plan so he'll go through Snakebite if he has to.

The problem is, Snakebite injected some of his poison into Deathstroke. Can his accelerated healing handle the poison? We'll just say it's not looking too good for Slade.

SUPERMAN #47

(By Gene Luen Yang, Howard Porter, Raymund Bermudez, Tom Derenick, Hi-Fi, and Lee Loughridge)

For some time now, Superman's been dealing with his new nemesis Hordr_Root. It's because of Hordr_Root that Superman lost his secret identity. When he discovered Superman was Clark Kent, he started to blackmail him into doing his bidding.

Recently, Superman has started fighting with the Mythbrawl organization, putting on shows for spectators. It's here that Hordr_Root decides to bring the fight to Superman. What Hordr_Root didn't count on was one of Superman's new allies having the power to prevent him from jumping to a new body if defeated. The fight begins.

Superman's new allies suffer some injuries but they'll survive.

Superman has had enough. With no where else for Hordr_Root to go, Superman now has him within his grasp. It's time to put an end to this. The question is, does that mean putting an end to Hordr_Root as well?

Will he do it? Will Superman crush Hordr_Root once and for all? He's fallen so far already. You'll have to read the issue to see what surprises happen next.

SPIDER-WOMAN #2

(By Dennis Hopeless, Javier Rodriguez, and Alvaro Lopez)

Spider-Woman is thirty-six weeks pregnant. She decided to take Carol Danvers' offer and visit a special maternity ward run by the intergalactic peacekeeping force Alpha Flight. The problem is, while Jessica was sitting in the waiting room, some Skrulls appeared and took them all hostage.

Normally Jessica would absolutely no problem taking out a couple of Skrulls. Now that she's pregnant, she can't dive into danger and put her unborn child at risk. As the situation escalates, she finally has no choice but to act. Emphasis on act. She feigns going into labor as a distraction to catch them off guard.

These two Skrulls were easy. Jessica was able to trick them and put minimal risk to her child. Unfortunately there's an unknown number of other Skrulls at the facility. She managed to call Carol to come and help. Will she get there in time? Of course there's another kink in the situation to make it more suspenseful.

That's all the time we have for this week.
