the thing is that UI being about skill and being a perfect auto-dodge&counterattack technique seems like it will be thrown into the bin

Well he does need to grow in power and he isn't doing it for selfish reasons he is doing it for everyone he protects as seen in tournament of power, he needed to win to protect his universe
