Goku's story began the way Toriyama's ended.

The last number of the year is 4. Even the months (3+1) give you 4. Both representing the 4 star Dragonball, maybe the most important symbol in DB and its specific connection to Goku is undeniable.

Just like the ending of GT, Goku flew with Shenron to a better place. But this time Shenron came for Akira Toriyama.
