API Syntax

Hello folks,

I've been looking around in this forum and elsewhere to get a solid grounding in the syntax for this API. I've so far hung everything I know from the brief (but obviously very helpful) post https://comicvine.gamespot.com/forums/api-developers-2334/simple-example-s-for-using-the-apis-1885345/. The Doc page https://comicvine.gamespot.com/api/documentation provides all the 'what', but what about the 'how'?

For example, would it be possible to use publishers to get info on a predetermined list of names or id's (i.e. the most "popular" publishers)? I've plaid with filter value strings concated with '|' and even %20%or%20%, but nada. It could be the API is still utterly barebones (who has the time? :-) ), so no room for subtlety.

If there is any further syntax that can be passed on, can we put up a more complete example page or knowledgebase?
