@omnisage: Yeah, reaction speed is key here. And I repeat, Luffy isn’t even faster than kid Goku. So unfortunately he cannot dance around goddamn Freeza, if his best feats can all be replicated by kid Goku.

@bossmountain: Precog definitely helps but it’s not enough to make up for the GULF between anybody in One Piece and goddamn Freeza.

Again my logic here is that Luffy’s best feats aren’t much above the pre Z era. We have relativistic and light speed showings from when Goku was still a kid.

Kid Goku caught a dragon ball before it could instantly travel to the farthest corner of the globe. He also outraced the Taiyoken light (solar flare in the dub). He and other characters have also reacted to beams that can reach the moon in a few seconds.

Multiple death beams from an angry 50% Frieza? They may dodge one or two but I don't see them replicating what Goku's doing.

depends. the death beams don't have any quantifiable speed feats, so any of them could dodge it.

MFTL ichigo and MFTL+ Luffy definitely dodge, With their real speeds all 3 die without even knowing what hit them

All of them. Ichigo has been seeing that same basic ass technique since forever. Luffy saw it coming eight seconds ago. Naruto is simply faster.

If people just read Dragon Ball a single time we can avoid silly conversations like this. I'm not asking for much here. You should also check out the author's notes and fan answers for a bit of context and insight on the writing decisions. Poll options show the obvious bias. Dumb thread is dumb.
