Games.

But video games this year really had a crazy high end and a lame low end, we got Baldur's Gate 3 and Skull Island: Rise of Kong

For me it’s gotta be a three-way tie between music, movies and comics. I can’t even pick one

Great problem to have!

Could you pick a top favorite for each category? Or how about top 3 for each of the 3 way?

Usually? Games.

Most comics sort of suck these days. It's been two weeks since any decent Marvel comics were published, for example.

Movies: The Godfather Part II, Spider-Man 2 & Empire Strikes Back

Comics: Kingdom Come, Spider-Man: Best of Enemies & Crisis on Infinite Earth’s

What's your game of the year?

Yeah, I haven't kept up with new Marvel. I'm a fan of 1960s-1990s Marvel.

Not sure, tbh.

They do have some good stuff here and there, but it's still hard to find good comics overall.

1. Pro Wrestling (WWE and AEW primarily)

2. Video Games (Mortal Kombat 1 and Goat Simulator 3 are King. That and Emulators for the MAME and Genesis)

3. Streaming Services (Netflix got me hooked on Seinfeld)

4. YouTube (better than Television these days)

5. Comic Books (this used to be Top 3 but I can not get into a lot of the new stuff honestly)

The PS5. My recurring response to, my recurring theme, of liking the PS5 - or any console - is the interaction between the player and the environment. Not a reference, unorthodoxically that is, to the notion and theme of atmosphere and elsewhere concepts. Maybe not elsewhere concepts, as the vastness implied from the reference of concepts is perhaps asking too much from unorthodox.

In any event, the interaction, between playable character and environment is the gold mine. The theme, of the opportunity of interaction, ergo the interactive prowess of Dead Space, or the unorthodox "likeability" of interaction of Shredder's Revenge.

@infinitehope: Resident Evil 4 (The original, I’m not able to play the remake unfortunately) and Resident Evil 1 Remake are definitely top 2. Not confident enough to say what my 3rd favorite would be.

I play it on PS5; the interaction element, is outstanding, what with the ability to knock items loosely around, and the distance reality is insane.

From your time, playing it on PS3, what was your favourite memory of playing the game? How did you find the interactive element, which I've spoken of?

@thomasmariel33: The horror atmosphere was good along with the immersive exhaustive desperation of the stomping. The tactical imaginative control with the kinesis technology was great. That further helped with immersion allowing players to not be so restricted by arbitrary clunkiness which might have been justified due to budget in weaker gaming systems such as the difference between the clunkiness of the first Metal Gear Solid to the incredible fluidity of Metal Gear Solid V.

The concept of elsewhere, is indeed a central tenet of Dead Space. I recently got a bit fed up with Resident Evil 4, because of the over the top gimmicks to do with the elsewhere; Dead Space, on the other hand, is the irony of the non-relatable being the saviour.
