What are stories from comics, novels, movies, tv shows, video games, etc that you think made you smarter? And why?

Has any stories made you smarter? Or are you just happy reading/watching stories that don't make you stupid?

idk, maybe Wonder I guess. Reading in general has made me more literate, but as far as a key aspect of my knowledge growing from a single story, I can't think of one.

Watchmen (comic book), Dune (book), Age of Empires games, Animal Farm (novel), Breaking Bad.

- 12 angry men (we easily follow the group without thinking first)
- The pursuit of happyness (life = hard)
- Shutter Island (won't spoil it, can't say anything...:)
- Knives Out (great who dunnit movie made me think hard)
- Her (this is IMHO a point what technology should never reach, social interaction with REAL people should never be replaced)

Agree with you about technology getting out of hand. There's a difference between interaction online with a bunch of personas than having real people to love in life who will be there for you and you can be there for them.

I can’t think of any comics or video games that made me smarter. I played some educational games way back in junior high school but don’t ask me to name any of them.

For movies “Walking Life” from 2001 comes to mind. There’s a lot of heavy concepts discussed in it.
