Which fighting game do you look forward to more: Mortal Kombat 1 or Tekken 8?

MK 1 looks amazing. It's got lots of potential.

Tekken 8 since I’m invested in the storyline, especially where the last game left off.

Tekken gameplay wise but Mortal Kombat storyline wise.

MK.

Tekken’s gameplay is always leap ahead of MK. MK’s good and worthy of the hype but I know Tekken will end up having more longevity for me.

Everyone who's played Mk1 has praised it so I think the kameos will be a gamechanger

It's the weakest in the series

Mortal Kombat because I’m just looking forward to seeing who all the dlc/guest characters are lol. For me they have always been the best part about the games and why I play them.

@kgb725: I literally said “MK’s good and worthy of the hype”. Tekken’s gameplay has consistently been better than MK for decades imo, I don’t expect that to change because of kameos. Between the big three I expect MK to be the weakest but don’t take that as me saying it looks bad.

Why so defensive? Tekken and MK aren't comparable in the slightest. Kameos have completely shaken up the gameplay and everyone who's played it pro players and YTs have praised it and want more.

What makes you say that?

MK 1 for sure. I feel like out of every major fg franchise, Tekken takes the least risks imo by risks I mean doesn't change things as much as say MK or SF over the years.

As for gameplay, Tekken's gameplay is the same for the most part in every game when compared to other fighters and definitely not always better than MK, for a 3D fighter it's good but it also took VF's foundation so not exactly the most original tbh, Tekken happened to get more popular than VF over time. MK and SF are more accessible which is important for bringing in newcomers, while offering options for high level players Tekken is more technical and not noob friendly also essentially the same game in a new coat of paint compared to MK games which always offer newer elements, newer modes and much better graphics and story than Tekken. Then there's DLC, something NRS has pretty much been dominating everyone in for years now they just get the best characters let's be honest here lol

@ghostodoofus2: Haha that would be cool. Ed said they have a list of guest characters they go down, it's only a matter of if they get the licensing ok which. I'd love to see Dredd, Riddick, Selene, Doom Slayer to name a few offhand.
