After running my brother's PS3 for the last six months or so I neglected my 360 now it has the Red Ring of Death. Anyone here knows how to solve this?

Mine had that years ago, I called up the place where I got it, who in turned, called Microsoft. Ended up having to ship it to Microsoft where they repaired it and sent it back.

Took.. quite some time. That said, my warranty was still good at the time.. so... yeah.

@wut: Not an option since Microsoft already blacklisted this Xbox for modding.

@the_kidd: Ah, then you are boned. I know of no way to fix it besides having the manufacturer do it and likely any third party repairing would be more expensive then just getting a new (or used) one.

@the_kidd: Or you search on Google/You Tube.. or you sent it to an electronic for a repair.. OR a good chance to get Xbox One I guess...

Time to move on bro. It's time to bury the old timer. Get a an Xbox One like some viners above me have said. Or better option would be to get a PS4.

I thought that only happens with the old versions. I got a 360 Slim and it is crap but it never gets that.

You should buy an Xbox 360 S (the black one). Microsoft stopped production on the Xbox 360 altogether, but they said that retailers are still selling the S versions that are available.

RIP 360 then. I'd suggest just moving on to a newer console (One or PS4), as games are gonna stop being produced on the older generation soon anyway. If you can't afford it then... I hope you have something else to play already because that's all the advice I can give.

Nah that still happen on Slim.

Yeah I'm thinking of getting a PS4 but I would still like to play the games I own for my 360.

Get an xbox one. It's cheaper than a PS4 and a few games are already backwards compatible. Given time your entire 360 library should be available through backwards compatibility.

Or you could attempt to fix it yourself. I think you have to replace the heat sink or something. There is probably a tutorial online somewhere. You better be familiar with soldering lol.
