Bessy is basic Lassie in German. A very popular character as Lassie was in the United States. She had just one self titles series but is lasted decades.

It is hard for me to find information on this book as I don't speak Italian but, as near as I can tell Tex Willer started as a comic strip in 1948. These strips were reprinted in what is loosely translated as Tex Strips. It eventually became a regular comic I believe in 1971. This series is still going and is reprinted in other countries. The original is just called Tex.

First of all I know I don't want to have any characters that are too cartoony. Archie borders that but, in my defense he had a Punisher crossover so I felt I had to count him. Besides it is not like there isn't room in a superhero universe for an All-American Teen. If you do not want to count him see the Honorable Mention section in the above description of this list. Second, If the numbers don't look right that is because Archie started out as Archie Comics. I only counted the Archie books.
