The PreCrisis DC Comics Presents has an amusing story in which Superman is shot by in time to meet the WW2 character Sgt. Rock, losing his memory in the process. The DC Comics Up in the Sky series has those scene reprised in a new context, complete with amnesia, time travel and Sgt. Rock.
It's another story, but Superman saved the Declaration of Independence, as well.
He also appeared in the Justice League cartoon, and I can't remember (by hope) he was in at least one of the WW2 and Golden Age cartoon movies.

I love when they integrate PreCrisis events and themes into Superman, and this also allows us to explain how Superman was in WW2 (without resorting to Earth-2), and why he didn't instantly win it like in the first Golden Age comic (where he kidnapped/arrested Hitler and Stalin). Superman is only on WW2 at random periods, briefly, and usually under some kind of disorientation or other issue.
