I heard that Wonder Woman was once made the Olympian goddess of truth. Is this true and if so what did it entail? Any new powers or responsibilities like the ability to hear prayers or or was it merely another title?

What about goddess of war? Since no one really worships the Olympians any more how important is the title? Does her mere presence incite violence around or or anything else or is only a title?

This has been done before I believe. I prefer her to be a Goddess of War.

As a Goddess of Truth she was removed from the mortal plane and forbidden to interfere. She got some godly powers. Not much an interesting take...

Goddess of War, as portrayed so far, is just garbage. First of all, had it come from Athena (instead of Ares) it could have been better. At the moment writers can't decide between A) it's meaningless or B) enhances WW's already violent attitude. A couple of times she showed the ability to telepathically direct soldiers/warriors.

Well becoming the Goddess of Truth was meant to be more of a happy ending rather then create more interesting stories from that point forward. Kinda just her going into retirement although just with the nature of comics that never would have lasted.

Being the God of War has lot of potential going forward, but your right that they haven't done anything with it yet. Azzarello could have set it up a lot better. I think it was good for her to inherent the role from Ares, but they should have highlighted the the conflict it creates inside her by keeping Ares as her arch-nemisies rather then pointlessly turning him into her mentor. Also put her in a situation where she has to address what the roles means to her. I would have recommended demoting Firstborn down to a minor foil, and having the climax of the run being a war between the Olympians, and New Genesis.

not sure about the Goddess of Truth, but she became the embodiment of Peace to fight against Nemesis. It made her realize that she was never the goddess of war. Everything that Nemesis was, was an attribute she could've controlled. In this timeline, she accepts her role as the Goddess of Peace.

Wonder Woman died around 1997 or 1998.

She was reincarnated by the Gods of Olympus as The Goddess of Truth. However, she was not able to let go of her previous earthly life and asked to be returned to human form (well, as "human" as Wonder Woman is able to be, since it was - many years later - revealed that she was the child of Zeus and Hippolyta) and her wish was granted. Thus, she returned to human form. I don't have that issue any more, but remember when it happened.

And no, her "presence" does not invite violence. She "inherited" the title when she killed Ares. This is in the comic books, years ago (that one I have!). Obviously, she would not suddenly become the archetype of "War," given that she always advocated Peace. But she did have to fight the Goddess of Peace and Ares was then re-born, and she was no longer the God of War (that was only a few years ago).
