He became the new Captain America to honor his friend Steve and he joined the Avengers. When Steve returned as Captain America, Bucky took on the identity of the Winter Soldier once again.

    Hello, I’ve recently seen many fans saying bucky Barnes was born March 20th 1925. But I can’t seem to find a direct comics canon source for this? Have I missed something in my reading? Any help finding a source would be appreciated:)

    The year is in the Official handbook, but no date and month there. I removed the birthday from the page, as that section doesn't support only having a year.

    @killerz: ahh okay, thank you! I believe there’s a month confirmed through cap 2005#50 pg 16 I believe, but never a specific date. Thanks for the clarification!
