    Superman answers an ad from a wealthy industrialist who’s looking for help with his gambling-addict son in "Carnahan's Heir."

    1. Untitled Superman story (Siegal/Shuster/Cassidy) - Ailing multi-millionaire Rufus Carnahan places an ad in the Daily Planet asking to see Superman. When Superman visits him, Carnahan says that his son Peter has ruined his own life by running up huge gambling debts, and asks that Superman reform him. Later, Rufus dies, and Peter is confronted by mobster Jake Brent demanding payment of his debt. When Brent is killed, Peter is convicted of his murder and sentenced to death, although he insists he is innocent. Can Superman unravel the mystery in time to save Peter?
