@dbzinger: It's possible, but it's unlikely because this list was a personal project of mine due to my obsession over everything Batman, and I decided to share it.

Yeah, I've read most of them, but sadly its hard to remember every detail from each of those books. Like I read Batman: Gothic so long ago that I honestly don't really remember what happened in it anymore.

@batshrine: a lot of those books are unnecessary. Like, even if you want to know every detail about batman some are still unnecessary

@jayc1324: For me I wanted to have every appearance of Batman. I would say most stories aren't "necessary" but for someone who loves reading and seeing Batman, the more the marrier. And if I want to see this characters full story, I wanted every appearence

Your list is pretty impressive. Thank you for doing so.

Have you seen this list : http://ultimatebatmancomicswebsite.weebly.com/batman-timeline.html

Your list is also missing every "elseworlds" strories (you should add a section at the end) : en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Elseworlds_publications

It is also missing all stories inspireded by the batman animated serie (not the same continuity but this serie introduced Harley Quinn) : en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Batman_Adventures

You're also missing all the resent publication by Scott Snyder after the "Court of the owls" as well as "Batman eternal"

And what happened to all the stories from the 40's, 50's, 60's, 70's ? and to "The brave and the bold" stories ?

@jb681131 1. He hasn't updated the list for 3 years, hence why nothing post-Court of Owls.

    2. no elseworlds, no TAS, no pre-COIE stuff... appears to be a pattern there. I'm guessing he was sticking w/ in-contuinity stuff and just used speculative futures.

@jb681131: So @dr_cheesesteak has it pretty much right!

I've been meaning to update it, I just decided to wait for a couple more TPB's and graphic novels to be published first. And would gladly update it within the coming week or two!

    But that is exactly why

    1. there isn't much Post-Flashpoint work on there.

    2. I only included out of continuity tales that were close enough to seem like it was in continuity minus a detail or two. However with convergence (which I have yet to read, and let me know if I am wrong). I might have a spot in the timeline to include all elseworlds tales. It's the same reason why I don't have any tie in comics to games or shows (unless it could fit in somewhere in the current timeline)

    4. I didn't include any pre-crisis collections for many reasons. First, I haven't read most of it so I wouldn't know how to accurately place it in the continuity. Second, Crisis was such a defining moment in comic book history & the DC Universe that to me, it was ok to start around that time. Third, Batman as a character really blossomed as a character (for me) when first written by Neil Gaiman and Dennis O'Neil. And last but not least (and I doubt anyone has noticed), I tried not include any comic that has Batman using a gun as if its totally normal, which some of the very first Batman comics had before DC even knew what they wanted to make of Batman.

But otherwise, I love the feedback and glad you liked this list :)

Anybody have more information on this? I can find the others, just can't seem to pinpoint this one.

Of the following graphic novels I'm not (totaly) sure which are meant:

004 The Man of Steel Vol 1

    041 Creeper

    042 Superman & Batman: World's Finest

094 The Man of Steel Vol 6

    114 World's Finest

    131 Batman: Black & White 2

    131 Batman: Black & White 3

    170 Batman: Manbat

    168 Huntress

    261 The Batman 80-Page Giant

271 DC Comics Presents: Batman #1 (2004 version?)

    403 Power Girl

    414 Man-Bat

    505 Trinity vol 1

    520 Trinity vol 2

    521 Trinity vol 3

271 DC Comics Presents: Batman #1

289 DC Comics Presents: Batman #2

303 DC Comics Presents: Batman #2

And in the list appears twice:

431 Robin: Search for a Hero

532 Robin: Search for a Hero

567 Justice League of America v2 - The Dark Things

595 Justice League of America v2 - The Dark Things

    Great job, by the way.
