90s. Devin Grayson's Gotham Knights "Transference" story arc from the 2000s might be my favorite Batman story, but I think the 90s were consistently better.

The Batman Adventures run is one of the greatest Batman runs I've read. It's one of my favorite comics runs in general.

I prefer Morrison's run over any run from 90s but it could go either way if I include all types of Batman runs.

@vishop_: Well, it's very hard to say. They are very different and interresting. I will lean torward the 00's because the New Gotham is an awsome era more on detective work and gangsters than on supervilains (well most of them are away after No Man's Lan). Also because of Paul Dinis work, very intense and a very good continuation of the Hush storyline with a nice Batman/Catwoman relationship. And of course the Grant Morrison run is brilliant. I love Professor Pyg and Damyan Wayne. And let's not forget the fun and dark story about secondary vilains by Dan Slott (Living Hell).

But I got to say, one of my all time favorit stories is "Dark Knight, Dark City" by Petir Milligan. Probably the best Riddler story to have been written.

Well, I may be from the minority but I wasn't a big fan of Dini's Work most specifically Heart of Hush. Although I did like what Morrison and Tony S Daniel did at its time.

@vishop_: You're in good company on Comicvine since I think the people on the dedicated Batman forum hold Morrison's run in high regard.

I can understand people listing any decade for Batman until this last decade.

I guess I could still understand those who list the 2010s as the best, but I don't want to.

Heh, there are people in CV who adore Snyder's Batman unfortunately and even more so to Tom King.

I thought it was fine because it was AUs but I wouldn't really approve Johns to write Batman. He is still a good writer.

I thought his Batman was good when he wrote his Wally West Flash run.

Yeah, I am looking forward to seeing Fabok. His Joker seemed fine in Doomsday Clock but seeing how DC Comics to be so overanxious about their Invincible Joker I have no high hopes about it. Johns Batman isn't my cup of tea after what he did to him during JL.

@vishop_: I'm with you you on invincible Joker. Fabok's going to rock, but the story premise of the 3 Jokers is going to be a enjoy it for what it is.

I don't know what you're referencing, but I take it ignorance is bliss. John's New 52 Aquaman was really good, and Tomasi's Superman Rebirth was nice, but most of current DC continuity is strange to me.

Johns' JLA was fine as a team book POV but I find it creepy enough to see Batman watching Wonder Woman and Superman hooking up. That was fu%^ weird. I don't find Johns' Batman more than just a standing character in JL. I mean he did something cool with Mobius Chair and Batman but that's it.

@vishop_: That's disturbing, but I appreciate knowing that so I don't run my mouth praising Geoff Johns's Batman. Again, I did like his Earth One Batman though.

I think Johns' best pre-New 52 characters were the Wally West Flash, Green Arrow, the Tim Drake Robin, Captain Cold, and Zoom. Maybe Wonder Woman too.
