    Let me break it down for you so you can understand better. 

    Ever heard the phrases: "I'm gonna break my foot off in your @ss!!!" or "You got his shoe up your ass!!!"

    Take these phrases and acknowledge that getting one's foot up someone's rear end may result in getting fecal matter on one's feet (especially when it's diarrhea).

    Boots with a high top rims will minimize the likelihood of having fecal matter creep down your footwear and into your socks or toes. 

    Secondly, boots also don't come off as easily as shoes.  So you won't run the risk of loosing footwear in someones rear end.
