And since the Earth weight 81 x the moon, the PL it take to destroy the earth should be 105,300 (1,300 x 81 = 105,300 pl). So Roshi's PL when he destroy the moon with a full-power Kamehameha wave in his max-power state could be 1,300. 1,300 x 14 = 18,200 pl so Vegeta should be able to destroy Pluto or Mercury.

People in this thread forgetting Roshi was a moonbuster.

Busting celestial objects wasn't a huge thing until early Z and arguably the guidebook that stated 23rd Budokai Goku's Kamehameha is moon level.

King Piccolo was stronger than Roshi and this was before he made his wish to become prime again. 23rd Goku and Piccolo were also stronger than King Piccolo. We'd get into some pretty questionable power creeps if we scaled everything to Roshi's moon feat. 23rd/BOZ Goku and Piccolo would probably be scaled to small planet level if this was the case lol.

We saw piccolo bust the moon with a power level of 322 with just a generic ki blast. So around 300 and up.

There's a difference between destroying the moon and vaporising the moon.

When Piccolo fought Raditz he had a weighed PL of 322 and an unweighted PL of 408. Freiza tells us that removing weighted clothes only makes you faster, not stronger, so while Piccolo measured in at 322, his Ki blasts would be that of a person with a PL of 408.

When Piccolo vaporised the moon, his weighted PL was measured at 329, not 322. That means his ki blasting PL was more likely to be something like 415. But for the sake of argument, its at least 408.

If you take a proportion based on Mass, the Earth would take a PL of 33,158 to vaporise.

Vegeta had a power level of between 18,000 and 24,000 when he attacked Earth. We know the last time he saw Cui, he had a power level of 18,000, but Vegeta told him that he'd been constantly fighting and getting stronger since then, he didn't only attack Earth.

When Goku was measured by Nappa after powering up, he said Goku's PL was over 8,000. We dont know by how much, but when Goku faced Vegeta with a Kamehameha, Vegeta said was the same as his Gallic Gun. Essentially, they're the same energy attack. Thats an important thing to note because when Goku went Kaiokenx3 with that Kamehameha, he and Vegetas Gallic Gun were equal. That means Vegeta's powerlevel wasnt 18,000 as is often suggeted, its much closer to 24,000.

So the question is, if it takes a PL of 33,158 to vaporise the Earth, would a PL of 24,000 be enough to destroy it? Well at 72% of the vaporisation energy, I would say yes, of course it would be. Especially when you take into consideration that Piccolo may not have needed all of his power to have destroyed the moon anyway.

So if it takes a PL of 408 to vaporise the moon and 33,158 to vaporise the Earth, how much would it need to destroy the Sun?

The Answer would be 11,038,481,616.

The sun accounts for 99.86% of the mass of the whole solar system, which means for Cell to be able to destroy the Solar System, he'd need a power level of at least 11,053,957,156, which is 73.69x more powerful that Goku when he first became a Super Saiyan.

I dont know about you, but to me that sounds about right, although Id be willing to bet that if Toriyama did those calcs, and I think he probably did, he'd use nicer numbers, like Cell having a PL of 11,250,000,000 which is 75x as powerful as Freiza saga SS Goku.

I wonder how strong Zeno two guards are. I would think they have to be strong since they are his attendants. They were ready to fight goku when he first met zeno after Universe 6 tournament. And they watched the universe 6 tournament, so they know how strong goku was. I would guess them at around Toppo level maybe.

Also, remember that SSG Goku and Beerus both put forth the punching power to cause a universe busting energy blast. Which would mean they were both dishing out high levels of multi-galaxy levels of punching power. And they weren't even fighting at full power when they did that.

i can't believe some people think a farmer with a shotgun would be multi continental just because they want to believe roshi feat is not a gag no matter what.

you know, i kind of lost hope in those people. if only they realize the feat is a gag.

It's possible that I was among the first ones who proposed this idea, about a decade ago.

The idea was that all the people have a large amount of locked ki energy, in a similar way in which mass has the energy in a real world.

If you could release all the energy stored in your body, turn all your mass into energy, you would create an explosion equivalent to 10 000+ Hiroshima bombs.

Piccolo was at low 400s when he oneshotted the moon

The weakest earth sized planet buster we have seen is Vegeta at a PL of 18,000

Planet Vegeta was destroyed with a finger blast by frieza with a PL of 530k, but Vegeta has 4X the gravity of Jupiter, making it fast bigger/denser (Jupiter only has 2.5x the gravity of Earth for a measure on size)

@juzacloud: frieza busted planet Vegeta with a PL of 530K, it has 10X earth gravity and thus, 4X Jupiter's gravity, and since mass and gravity scale linearly, it has enough mass to make planet Jupiter look tiny.i don't get where 120M equates large planet in your calc

If you are a regular guy your pl is 5, and if you could use 100% of it, you could destroy cities, but can't use any of it.

Then as you start training, your pl rises, and so does your ability to access that power.

So at pl 10, you can access 1% of it and destroy cars

At pl 50, you access 10% of it and destroy towns

At pl 100 you can access 50% of it and destroy countries

At 200 you can access 90% of it and destroy continents.

That was the idea that came to my mind, that would explain why the farmer had such a high pl, and the exponential growth of their destructive power.

But in reality it's most likely Akira just thought, farmer is weak, 5 is a small number, I'll give him a pl 5 lol

@mortein: the issue tho, is that scouters' measuring is just based on threat calculation. not the actual level of energy in your body, this is established in broly when rifles can rise your combat power since having them is threatening. plus, if you take what sheuisha said about 1 kiri = 50 000 scouter points. then that pretty muchs locks planet/moon power tiers at 6 digits.

One more piece of evidence that made me think regular humans have significant amount of dormant ki energy was the fact that Cell managed to multiply his power just by absorbing millions of regular people.
