My avatar is wrong

Dell laptop, Win 10, Chrome

On forums, and in PM's, my avatar is showing with the weird blurry emoji shown in the pic to the left. I've tried to replace it with my normal "F" avatar in my Settings, and it didn't work. My settings are showing the right avatar, but the emoji is still showing.

Reading this post, the "F" avatar shows, but on the forum list, it's still the emoji. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Looking at the Fan-Fic forum, others are experiencing this issue. @sundown89 has a red balloon showing on his forum thumbnail even though his avatar is a duck. @mrmonster, @batkevin74, @the_poet, @balgoparks and @tommythehitman all have that "dead picture" icon showing even though they have avatars.

Yet @the_impersonator, @wildvine, and my @cbishop alt are all fine.

That is weird.

Seems to be fixed now.

@batkevin74: No, it was the little file-icon thing that shows in the corner of the space where the picture is supposed to be. It was weird. It was fixed the next day. The party-hat-emoji and the red-balloon thing happened once before, way back. It was fixed fast that time too.
