Immortality: Tales of the Undead- Midnight Snack

Aaron Macks was recording a film of a vampire, who was currently sucking the blood from an innocent girl. She was young enough to hang out with her best friends and boys her age. But she had been tricked by Aaron, who had led her here to his basement in order to have sex. Turns out the girl was right all along. She had a hunch that something was wrong with the entire picture here. Despite the drunkenness and all, she also knew that something strange was afoot.

She screamed as the vampire tore off her throat. The meatiness of the skin fell down on the floor. Aaron tried not to puke, while filming it. But he did it anyways. The vampire looked at him and laughed.

But Aaron didn't laugh. No, he just wanted to earn some cash, so that he could go to Hollywood. But those dreams were shattered when his parents found out what kind of movie he was making. It was about a woman who found herself alone in the forest, and all of a sudden, a gang of hoodlums came out of nowhere, caught her and stripped off her clothes. They eventually did a way with her, and took turns. Of course, they were only a bunch of wannabe actors, when a certain old man had noticed the terrible scene. He had contacted the police, and Aaron explained that he was only making a movie. Not that he intended to make snuff films that existed in dark net or some other, hidden websites beyond anyone's hellish imagination.

But now, Aaron was filming it. He couldn't imagine that he was doing it for real. In fact, he found a strange man who claimed to be an actor. He also said that he came all the way from Germany to start his acting career. Aaron didn't know what to make of him. He was strange indeed. But he didn't think that the so-called actor would turn out to be a 200-year old vampire.

Volstak was the vampire's name. He had pointed ears much like the Nosferatu black and white film, and the remake that starred Klaus Kinski. Aaron remembered those movies well enough that he always wanted to make a vampire film too. And this was it. He finally found a real-life vampire who could work for him. But the film itself would prove valuable to certain types of people, who liked to see these kind of films. Not to mention the directors who were part of Underground Cinema, had made a dozen of snuff films over the years. So far, they hadn't been caught to this day. Aaron took the risk alright, but he needed the money. Rich people would certainly pay for this kind of stuff in abandoned theaters, or the ones that were owned by the criminal underworld. Aaron was truly getting the kick out of it. But at what cost?

His parents always hated the idea that Aaron didn't care of what the cost would be. They shunned him, and that he was left alone in darkness. He found himself in the loneliest streets of hell. Beggars and hookers everywhere... One woman wanted him to f*** her for a small amount of cash. Even a blowjob for that matter. But Aaron didn't have the cash with him. He left and ran as far away as possible. He ran...

And then he had found this vampire named Volstak. The vampire who had arrived in California a long time ago. The thing was that the creature had his own intentions to make a name for himself. Being a German and all, he didn't want people to recognize him. He used to be a famous painter until he got turned by another vampire. The one he couldn't remember. As an artist, he used to draw something dark in his studio. The sex and violence had been portrayed in several of his works in the late 19th-century. But after the transformation, he changed his art style into something nice and peaceful. He wanted to feel... human.

But the hunger drove him crazy. The darkness within Volstak had erupted like a volcano. The hunger... It craves, and that Volstak needed blood.

The girl stopped screaming and stared upwards. Volstak stopped drinking her blood, and sometimes offered it to Aaron. But the young man didn't want any of it. He was disgusted and wanted to quit this kind of film business. He didn't want to get into trouble. But the money...

Volstak arrived closer towards him. Aaron nearly dropped his video camera, and caught it with his trembling hands. The vampire smelled the young man's fear as if it had already resonated within him a long time ago. Aaron calmed himself down, and put the camera on the table. He sat down, feeling almost... relieved?

"You have done well, Aaron. Do not fear me. I know you're still afraid. But..." He stopped and looked at the dead girl. Then he looked back at him. "I want more, Aaron. I couldn't survive without it. As the saying goes, "For the blood is the life," and I must take it. You're the only one who can help me."

Aaron began to laugh, and sounded like a maniac. What the hell was he doing here? Oh, scratch that. What the hell was he thinking? He could get caught for all he knew, and there was a possibility that someone else was watching him. Several people had noticed him, luring the poor girl into the basement of the vampire's house. Yes, it was Volstak's house. The basement where all the terror began. Night after night... Filming it, and earning money to the highest bidder of Hollywood fashion. But it was no Hollywood, of course. Aaron kept laughing, and then stopped.

Volstak smiled at him. "You seemed to be amused by all this."

Aaron looked at him. "No, Volstak. Not one bit."

"Then why do you laugh? You think you won't get caught? How sure are you willing to risk your stakes at this business of yours? It may not be my business, but I've always wanted to become an actor when I was a child. My father used to be an actor, you know. I sat there on the seats while mother was also watching... The theater was grandeur, beautiful and yet remarkable for the talent that my father once had. The father that I knew and been proud of."

"Well, Volstak," Aaron said, feeling bored. "My parents aren't proud of me, and I ain't proud of myself. So, what do I know?" He was tired, and just wanted to sleep.

"Hmm..." Volstak wondered. "You're an interesting, young man. You have dreams, and yet you do not know the values of one's importance in a lifetime. Such people do exist. Snuff films!" He laughed at the thought of it. "Where do you get these strange ideas of making a film such as this?"

Aaron sighed. "You only wanted to become an actor. So why complain?"

"I'm not complaining, Aaron. I'm only trying to understand you. What is it that you want? What are you trying to get out of making these kind of movies? I had those same questions when my parents had found out my work. My father wasn't too happy about it. Not even my mother. They thought I was too mad to draw such things! So you see, Aaron... You and I are both alike."

"You could say that," Aaron said. "But you're not drawing that kind of $h!t anymore. I've seen your works, Volstak. I must say that you're very talented. But now, you're drawing something..."

"Nice?" Volstak answered for him. "Peaceful? What does it matter? I'm only trying to be human. I often wondered why I was turned into something that I shouldn't be. But what's done is done. I crave for blood, Aaron. I crave..."

At the sound of that, Aaron went upstairs to an extra bedroom and slept.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The next day, Aaron went to the Underground Cinema and showed his latest film to the owner. A film director who used to make snuff movies in the past had said, "This is amazing. Where did you find him?"

Aaron didn't want to explain everything to him. After all, these guys were only into heavy realism. They wouldn't think that a vampire actually existed in the real world. They would laugh at it.

"He actually found me," Aaron answered him.

"Hmm... Interesting. I can see why he's so... secretive. But tell me, Aaron. Is he for real?"

Aaron looked at him, who used to wonder at the same thought. "What do you think?"

The owner stared back at the screen and then thought for the moment. He said, "I think he would be great as an actor. But not in this kind of business."

"Why not?" Aaron sounded surprised. He didn't think that the owner of Underground Cinema would reject something like this.

"You see... The trouble is that they are too many dead bodies to count. We managed to clean them up. Yes, that is true. But this... This is a mess. Not to say the film is. But the killing..."

"Do you mean Volstak?"

"Ah yes. Volstak... That's his name. Is it not? Yes, I think we must find a way to make another film in a secured location. So that nobody knows what we... Sorry... you are doing. Got it? And you would want to remind your German friend..."

"He's not my friend." Aaron tried to look away from the scene, where Volstak was tearing the skin off from the girl's throat.

"Hmm..." The owner got up from his chair. "Tell you what, Aaron. I'll see to it that he works in this business. But we're dealing with a vampire. The hunger grows stronger than an average human. No doubt about it."

"So... you believe me?"

At that statement, the owner laughed loudly as if he had found himself in an asylum, filled with deranged lunatics. Then he stopped. "What I believe is in the killing itself, Aaron. I can tell you that it's real. But I'm not sure about the vampire though. Somewhere inside me, I'm still not convinced... But only time will tell. Am I right?"

"Yeah... I guess."

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It was midnight. Aaron returned to the lonely streets of hell. He figured that he could spot the same hooker as before and for the very first time. Asking for a blowjob... He laughed at it. He even laughed at the absurd idea of vampires. Do they really exist? Of course they do! He had witnessed it himself. The fear that erupted from his subconscious mind. He never believed at first hand, even at the time of filming...

But the craving... It grew stronger for Volstak, and that he wanted more of it. And that means more filming...

Aaron stopped at the corner of the street, where he noticed the same hooker, standing under the lamp post. She seemed to be waiting for him. But she didn't think that it was the same, young man who wanted to make a name for himself. Hollywood... It sounded like a f***ing joke, and Aaron knew that he would never make it, which was why he had to turn his business around into something shady and... illegal.

Aaron stepped closer towards her. The hooker noticed him and smiled.

"Hello there. Nice night. Isn't it?"

"Yeah... You could say that." Aaron looked around to see if anyone was there, even the police. Then he looked back at her. "So... how about a blowjob? My place?"

At first, the hooker thought it might be a bad idea to venture out into someone's place, in order to stay for the night, that is if Aaron allowed her. She wasn't an escort to begin with, but she wouldn't mind... After all, in a public area where anyone could notice the deranged act of sex among the streets of hell. It would also certainly make a person sick to either call the police or... Or what? Aaron didn't know, and never wanted to think about it.

The hooker replied, "Sure. Why not?" She sort of shrugged at that statement. She went along with it. Sure, why not? She was hungry. She even craved for blowjobs as if they were food. But she needed the cash so that she could eat at some diner or a cafe. She also wanted to sleep for the rest of the night. She was desperate for it.

She followed Aaron towards the vampire's house. It was actually a studio where he currently makes "peaceful" art. As he said before, he wanted to feel human. But Aaron knew better. He wasn't human after he was turned on that fateful night. Not at the very least.

Aaron lured the hooker downstairs into the basement. And then he stopped. The hooker looked around the place, and wondered what's with all the lights off. There was one light, which sort of dimmed in the middle of the room. And Aaron said, "I like it that way. Now... let's get on with it."

The hooker thought the young man was crazy. But she went along with it. Sure, why not? Aaron ordered her to remove his pants, slowly. That way, he could feel the sensation from a woman, opening his pants for him. He was right. He felt it, and then closed his eyes.

The woman sucked... Aaron didn't open his eyes. Because he knew that he was still on film. Volstak was currently doing that task. He thought he could give it a chance, with those sharp nails, and quite long fingers. He was careful not to drop Aaron's video camera.

Then Aaron opened his eyes. The vampire handed the device back to him. While the woman sucked... Aaron filmed it. Then the vampire stood behind the hooker, and grabbed her head. She screamed...

The vampire twisted her head and pulled it off! Then he drank the blood from underneath... And this time, Aaron didn't tremble or stop filming. He was just calm and... peaceful.
