Avatar Studios: Avatar and Korra Sequels on Paramount+ Announced

They look to be in their 20s here, so I’m assuming they physically aged more as time went on, especially since Aang looks a lot older in LOK than here. Even Sokka does

My guess is they are experimenting with this art; if it's still one and a half years to go, they are probably throwing the new art style -- 2D/3D blend with much more eastern anime influence -- to the table along with the designs and waiting for the reception to adapt accordingly. It will also probably look extremely different in motion either way.

My only problem is Aang's face as well; Toph, Zuko and Katara all look epic. Sokka is alright, but it's only profile.

Oooo Avatar Studios is not happy, the links are being scrubbed off the internet. Even the one I posted is gone.

Interesting. I get the feeling the style will probably go through several changes like Anthp was saying.

I think Sokka and Zuko look the best, even if it's just their profiles. And I agree with Aang's baby face lol. But it's fine. They might age a bit as well see them like both shows have previously done.

I'm just here for Zuko and Toph lol.

• Last year they announced the Gaang Movie officially, and announced LOK like over a decade ago at SDCC. Will they announce the movie title? Release an official poster? Synopsis? Teaser Trailer? Announce another project?

*Sometime in July - Avatar Legends - Republic City Supplement

@tektonic: Can you explain to me what's the deal with this strike and what sag aftra even is? I tried to look into it, but couldn't find any proper explanation at first glance and wasn't curious enough to make sense of it and dig deeper. What's going on and why?

America has two large unions that represent there name sake workers. Writers Guild of America(WGA) and Screen Actors Guild - American Federation of Television and Radio Artists(SAG-AFTRA).

Both are on strike demanding better pay/benefits among the following:

"With both the Writers Guild of America and SAG-AFTRA seeking new contracts that improve (nearly-nonexistent) streaming residuals, rein in the looming threat of A.I. and attempt to crack other considerable nuts, it will be later, not sooner, when both work stoppages achieve anything close to resolution."

Also, Dave Bautista is an interesting choice to join the cast. I saw a fan-cast of him as Combustion Man for the LA show and it got me thinking.

Aang Movie delayed 3 months - until January 2026...

As per Variety and BoxOfficePro, the date switched from October 10th 2025 to January 30th, 2026.

Just a bit over 3 month delay, which isn't big, but hard since we've already waited a substantial amount of time with little updates. Could be production falling behind deadlines or to avoid competition.

She's perfect, mainly because she's Native American.
