Poll Better Anime: Bleach or Naruto? (111 votes)
They are pitted together in battles alot, but when it comes to the Manga/Anime. Which do you like better and why?

Naruto, easily
They both have their ups and downs in places
I like both
But I like Naruto more
Though Bleach is definetly in my top 10
I prefer bleach, OG Naruto and the first half of Shippudden were really good since the ninjas actually felt like ninjas, then we get to the end and our protagonist is basically god, with a lot of the non Uchiha/MCs being cast aside (*cough cough* Rock Lee). The whole “Child of a Destiny” plot basically contradicts Kubo’s writing for part 1.
Dont get me wrong, I still love Naruto but it went kinda downhill for me during the latter half. Bleach’s characters, OST and fights are much more enjoyable for me and I find Ichigo to be a much more relatable protagonist than Naruto.
Actually appreciate how this is just a question on which I enjoy more rather than the factors of it being "objective"
I'll say Bleach because it has a more rewatchable factor to it than Naruto did for me. I liked the characters much more and I thought the anime adaptation nailed the fight sequences, voice acting, & fillers much more than Naruto's anime adaptations(another reason, Naruto has three series, totaling close to 900 episodes...)
As for the manga, I find Kubo to be a better mangaka when it comes to art and a cast of characters. A lot more diverse in character designs, fights, abilities, personalities, and themes.
My main gripe with Naruto will always felt the disconnection of the Original and then Shippuden/Boruto. Ninjas is a thing of the past, Hard Work was contradicted, side characters have nothing to add anymore, etc. It's a series that I think to myself that I'll only rewatch it again if I have someone close to me who wants to watch it for the first time. I'll never get tired of watching/reading any new or old content from Bleach because it never feels it gets old.
Other than all that, I view these two series as the two prime examples of Third Gen Shonen Jump Manga that future manga learn from the mistakes & potentially do better than their peaks.
Naruto from the beginning to the Kage Summit has better written imo
Bleach's Arrancar Arc is basically a recycle of Soul Society Arc, although I liked it better
Naruto is also a way more lively of a protagonist then Ichigo is
I get that Bleach is suppose to be a darker show but I don't even understand Ichigo as a character
I prefer Ulquiorra and Grimmjow cause they are more understandable
Most Naruto characters are more fleshed out
Naruto stomps, it's not even close. For all its negatives it still cultivated my interest in watching it to the end.
On the other hand, I dropped Bleach quarter way because it's literally crap. There is no plot, it's just rescue mission recycled over and over. The world-building, if there is any that is, is too shallow. The MC is lame, and the cast, especially the villains, have no depth. Like what is the backstory of Aizen? Grimmjow? Ulq? Pain, Orochimaru, Madara were so much better.
A great anime for me is the one that keeps intrigued me to the end, and I couldn't find that in Bleach.
Naruto will win the poll. There are more Naruto fans than Bleach fans in this site. That's no argument.
I like bleach music and OST’s better
But I think Naruto story n plot is written better
Plus you tend to have more attachment for some Naruto characters than bleach characters
And the lack of Ichigo having goals and really striving for anything makes Naruto as a Mc better as well as his rivalry with sasuke and showing Sasuke side of things and showing Sasuke have several fights without Naruto being around like they both received a decent amount of solo battles in shippuden and whenever they met up the couple of times in Shippuden shit always got real...Ichigo doesn’t really have that rivalry with anyone i would say Renji or Grimmjow but more not to the extent of Naruto
If we discount the filler material from both I believe that Bleach through the Aizen arch is the better of the two, however after the conclusion of that story arch it takes are sharp downturn and becomes barely watchable. Shippuden is more consistent in quality but it just runs on for so damn long. I still haven’t finished the entirety of the 4th Ninja War arch and I have little desire to do so. I would love a pruned watch list to get me through to the end. I can probably get motivated enough to watch about 50 more episodes before I bail again.
Bleach’s atmosphere and soundtrack bored the shit out of me
Now don't get me wrong both are pretty equal in my eyes.
But bleach has that swag that naruto lacks espacially during the first half of blood war arc that shit is straight 🔥🔥🔥
The Settings in bleach were just bland to me and at times everything felt so damn stagnant. The OST honestly started to annoy me

The way you are explaining it means that you never even reached the souls society arc in the first place, am i right?
And boy do you have any idea how fire bleach ost is???
It is composed by shiro sagisu here are some of his examples:
^^^Just hear all these five soundtracks for once and tell me straight in the eyes that it is annoying...
Naruto started to annoy me when I realised, Part 1 Neji (my favourite character) was right.
People are literally bound to their destiny (Naruto, Sasuke), the weak are destined to be weak (Kiba, Shino Ten-Ten and other fodder) and the strong are meant to be strong, and it can never change. Naruto beat him into the wrong mindset.
You’re literally fodder if you’re not born into one of like 4 clans, or your dad isn’t like a legend. Even then you’re probably still fodder in the grand scheme of things. Even the resurrected Kages got fodderised. The only one who did any real damage was, guess who, an UCHIHA. Who reversed the Edo Tensei. An UCHIHA.
Had Neji kept his original mindset, he would have lived.
So Bleach for me.
Naruto more consistently until they screwed up everything in the end with Aliens. Madara really should have been the final villain.
That is my biggest issue with Naruto. The fact that Madara had so much impact on the story just to be thrown away really annoyed me about Naruto. Naruto started off as a show about becoming a great Ninja, not a God. Madara was the last villain who still had that feeling of Ninja.
OT: Bleach - I like the music a lot more, I think the series is easier to get through, I prefer the idea of sword vs sword instead of hand to hand (at least in the original series) or Ninjitsu, and overall I prefer the aesthetic.
@mike_strike10: Madara really should be the main villian he was just too perfect for it.
But no kaguya has to put her ass in the story.
I wish they bring Madara back in Boruto but I fear that would make him a generate good guy base on his ending with Hashirama.
I actually have lol and the setting to date is still bland as hell to me. Thats just my opinion. I stopped Halfway near the end of the Arancar arc right before Ichigo went Hollow. That was the only glimpse of excitement I had watching the show tbh. I dropped it to watch One Piece.
And still I just wasn't impressed by it.
