Which comic features this Augie Doggie & Doggy Daddy story?

I live in the UK, and way back in the early 1960's, I was given a comic (probably Gold Key) featuring the two likeable canine characters - and in this particular story, they had a "fib detector", which was a home-made contraption that had a large, old-time phonograph horn. If it was told a lie, it would blare out "Fib! Fib! Fib!".

For some reason this really stuck in my mind, and I would love to see the story again.

I know its a long shot, but there must be some knowledgeable folk out there who recognise this tale? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Update - I have been looking at some online copies of the comic strips that the pair appeared in, and I am wondering if I am mistaken in remembering them as the characters involved. If anyone has any ideas as to who the protagonists were, I would love to hear your thoughts!
