He’d survive at any cost. Like any ecosystem, he’d know the monsters serve a purpose to provide balance (if they naturally inhabited the planet) and he wouldn’t go out of his way to kill them.
If the monsters didn’t naturally inhabit the planet (ie planetary invaders), he’d be less conflicted about trapping, hunting, killing them, etc.

Megabyte wouldn't surrender anything. Although he hasn't exactly clawed his way to the top of Midnight City's criminal underworld, he's certainly lazy enough to know when he's got a good gig going.
As time marches on, he's more than likely to die than actually retire.
