Iron-Hand Hauptmann was a member of the Exiles, a group of World War II war criminals that managed to evade post-war trials and survive for decades. They allied with the Red Skull soon after his revival.

Hauptmann has recently resurfaced, repaying a debt to the current Baron Zemo. He is approached whilst drinking by Zemo who has come to collect on an unspecified debt. He requires Hauptmann to engage the current Captain America whilst he is hallucinating and has weakened muscles. He successfully manages this and evades capture.

    Creation

Iron-Hand Hauptmann was created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby in 1968 and first appeared in Captain America #103.

    Powers & Abilities

Iron-Hand Hauptmann wields a mechanical iron glove that is durable enough to let him smash through most steel and concrete, and it was later upgraded to be also able to discharge powerful blasts of electricity, much like the Satan Claw. Aside from his Iron Hand, Hauptmann is also a capable unarmed combatant.
