    Origin

Post-Humans are genetically engineered humans so advanced they are not humans but classified as Homo Novissima and act as the successors to Humans/Homo Sapiens they are not restricted by normal evolution like Mutant/Homo Superior. The Children of the Vault are the first of these Post-Humans. Sentinels and Nimrod are revealed to be ways for humans to slowdown or even prevent rise of Mutants to let Post-Humans to be the dominant race of Earth.

Given Humans will eventually understand genetic engineering and how our genes work Post-Humans are seen as inevitable

    Lives of Moira MacTaggert

Moira MacTaggert is a mutant who has power to reincarnate back to day she was born. In one of her lives she lives a thousand years in future where Post-Humans had beaten the Mutants and now are the dominate race the remaining Mutants are put in Zoo known as Preserve which is ran by the Librarian. Post-Humans had desired to merge with the Phalanx so they can "ascend" but the timeline was reset when Moira was killed by Wolverine
