It has Fassbender and Mcavoy, Those alone should make it better than Origins. If it's really that bad I feel sorry for that 2 hours of your life, man.
McAvoy had one of the best scenes in the movie. As far Fassbender... it was an awkward rehash of his prior arcs and a poor use of his talent. Even the best of actors can't work with a garbage script.
I like your list! The first two films are also my favourites. ?
I have to say, I agree with you about Lawrence's Mystique. She does not feel like Mystique to me at all, I just see Jennifer, even through all the blue make-up (which she is rarely in). She seems bored and like she does not want to be there. I feel like they cast her just because she was a big star at the time and she would bring in money.
That's the funny thing. First Class came out before Jennifer Lawrence was big (it was a year before Hunger Games). I don't know why she was chosen because she wasn't a big name before Hunger Games. in fact, she was stuck in her 3-movie contract for First Class, DoFP, and Apocalypse and was underpaid in all 3 movies.
Great list! While I do almost fully agree, I have to say, you come off as very harsh against Rogue One. While I understand what you are saying, I thought the flow of the movie and the feelings I got from it made it excellent. While it wasn't a movie I asked for, it's a movie I'm incredibly pleased to have come out.
Sure, but it solely exists as fan service. It's a story that did not need telling; there wasn't some mystery. The people of Rogue One didn't go on to do anything - they just died. And, for the most part, they came from nothing.
It's certainly enjoyable, but I just can't help but see it as hallow.
