Divine Strength: Shield-Maiden is the daughter of Athena and Ivar the Wise (Odin), the Norse High Chieftain. This makes Helena a powerful demigoddess and far stronger than any regular demigod. The same strength Odin and his brothers Vili and Ve used to slew Ymir and fashion the cosmos with his lifeless body is the same strength Helena Troy inherited. Despite being robbed of her full potential, Shield-Maiden's strength is capable of going toe to toe with the Gods themselves. Helena is currently one of the strongest Olympian and Æsir, rivaling Heracles and Thor themselves. As the child of two worlds, Helena's strength is matched only by very few in either the Greek and Norse Pantheon. Shield-Maiden's great strength also extends to her powerful leg muscles, allowing her to jump great distances and heights. However, while the exact limit is unknown, she is capable of leaping a height of at least a quarter of a mile in earth's gravity and three quarters of a mile across. If she tried, Helena might be able to surpass these distances, but she has never had a reason to. Shield-Maiden has been observed lifting, as well as hurling, a giant sequoia tree; carrying a submarine across her back & shoulders; lifting and tossing a giant dragon; dragging Atholis - an island the size of Manhattan, and then holding the same island together for a period of time. While already strong enough, Helena's full strength lies dormant within her. (Under Construction)
Divine Durability: (Work In Progress/Bulletproof)
Divine Speed: Despite his mischievous behavior, Hermes was known to be benevolent toward mankind, even more so than some of his fellow relatives on Mount Olympus. Convinced by Apollo and Athena that Helena Troy was the Planestrider spoken of in the Great Prophecy, the divine trickster risked betraying Zeus by using his magical caduceus to bestow the infant with supernatural speed. It is with this blessing, Helena is able to run and fly at Mach 100 on a normal basis. But when epinephrine is released throughout her body (in response to fear or excitement), the divine properties granted to her encases around the oxygen and nutrients traveling through her blood vessels. The properties then travel to her brain, giving her an enhanced level of alertness and awareness. It is because of this, Helena is able to travel at the Speed of Light during flight or fight.
Runic Flight: When Helena sprung from Odin's head, Freyja caught the baby in her arms and immediately peered into her "electric blue eyes." Foreseeing into the child's future with just one glance, Freyja plucked a feather from her cloak of plumes, and inscribed the Raidō rune "ᚱ " on the mystical feather. Once that was accomplished, the divine völva of the Scandinavian World incanted a runic spell that would turn the feather into a tattoo once it reached the surface of the brain child's neck. The mystical rune now emblazoned in her flesh and naked to the invisible eye produces an invisible aura around her body, which in turn help's her levitate and fly at great speed's. This is possible due to the fact that the Raidō rune symbolizes movement, journey, overcoming challenges, and transportation from one location to the other - both in a physical and spiritual sense. It is not clear why Freyja bestowed such a gift, or what she saw in Helena's future that compelled her to grant such an odd ability.
Divine Reflexes : Shieldmaiden's speed extends to her reflexes as well. She is able to perceive moving bullets in slow motion, which enables her to deflect and dodge all variations of small arms - pistols, shotguns, sniper rifles, machine guns, etc. Her limbs and eyes can react to gunfire so swiftly, she can parry a barrage of machine gun fire before they even impact her vambraces. Helena can dodge unconventional and conventional missiles, and strafe runs from the fastest aircrafts produced by mankind. Since she can tap into the speed of light during dire circumstances, she can also dodge and deflect lasers with her vambraces.

Divine Senses: A firm believer in the Great Prophecy, Artemis indoctrinated an orphaned Helena into the Sisters of Artemis. It was here her senses were heightened by the Goddess, so much so that they are now comparable to certain animals throughout the world. While not on par with the divine archer herself, Shield-Maiden's heightened senses are still impressive enough to give her an advantage as both a warrior and a hero. Her sense of smell is 10,000 to 100,000 times better than the average mortal, having up to 225 million olfactory receptors in her nose. That is comparable to the German Shepherd and the Beagle, two of the most revered scent tracking dogs in existence. Due to the fact that her olfactory system has been magically enhanced, her brain is able to analyze smells that are 40 times greater than the average human. She can detect a teaspoon of sugar in a million gallons of water, one rotten apple among a thousand fresh apples, and 35 pounds of drugs submerged in gasoline. Her nose can determine a trail a person took from as few as five steps, even one hour after the trail was walked on. She can detect a smell carried by the wind from 2 miles away, but this can vary depending on windspeed, wind direction, weather, and terrain. Her sense of smell increases in accuracy when exposed to a person's belongings or something they touched, allowing her to follow their trail endlessly. She is able to detect concealed drugs, human remains, animal byproducts, and food products, even when they are disguised in other scented materials. Helena is able to also detect changes in human hormones, such as: Testosterone, Oxytocin, Serotonin, and Endorphins. Because she has the unique ability to smell in parts per trillion, Helena can even track the smallest of critters. Anything a tracking or detection dog has been trained to detect , the depowered goddess could track or find.
Artemis gift extends to the brain child's vision as well, granting her the ability to see six to eight times better at night than humans. Because of this blessing bestowed upon her, the amount of rod receptors found in her eyes increase to that of a feline at night. The feline family also have a layer of tissue behind the retina, called the tapetum, that is thought to improve night vision. She might not be able to see fine detail or rich colors at night, but she can see the silhouette of objects and people. This is because of the high concentration of rod cells in her retina, which are sensitive to dim light. Exactly like a feline, Helena's round pupils become vertically slit and her cornea expands, allowing light to reflect off of her cells in the tapetum, which acts like a mirror - reflecting light that passes between the rods and the cones back to the photoreceptors, and giving her another chance to pick up the small amount of light available at night. When morning arises, the amount of cones in the human eye are restored to the depowered goddess, while the rod cells diminish to it's original count. During nightfall, her visual field slightly widens to 200 degrees compared to the visual field of humans, giving her a greater range of peripheral vision. This gives her a greater advantage when tracking a moving target at night, since her retina requires only one-sixth of the amount of light. The Planestrider also has feline binocular vision, which creates a three dimensional image. This enables her to assess distances and depth, allowing her to maneuver at night and stalk her target.
The brain child's hearing has also been heightened to rival that of an elephant in the infrasonic range. Because of this gift, she can detect sounds as low as 14 hertz to 20000Hz whenever she so desires. On a day to day basis, she can hear an individual's voice from 4 kilometers away (2.5 miles) and low frequency calls from other animals. Under ideal conditions where there is no noise interference, her range of hearing can be increased to 6.2 miles (10 kilometers). While it is uncertain if elephants can detect rainfall and thunderstorms with their hearing or feet from as much as 100 to 150 miles away, and if Artemis's gift allows her fellow hunting maidens to hear these low-frequency sounds from such a distance, it is possible that Helena could detect rain drops and soundwaves produced by thunder in the same manner as elephants.

Lassoing: It should come as no surprise that the lasso was used by the people of Atholis to capture and domesticate livestock. Whether to muster a herd or tame a horse, every citizen on the island was taught it's use from an early age - including the Princess and the Queen. Helena's skill with the lasso was more internal than external though. Her use with the lasso came from her mother, who is regarded as Athena Chalinitis (The bridler of horses, or the tamer of horses by the means of the bridle). Because of this, Princess Helena is able to utilize the Lasso of Apollo with skill and talent.
Throwing: Trained from an early age in discus throwing, javelin throwing, throwing sticks, throwing knives, slings, and tomahawks, Shieldmaiden has been shown to be an expert at using her tiara as a boomerang.

Equipment and Paraphernalia Vambraces of Forge: The Vambraces of Forge are made out of an unknown material used by the Æsir tribe - It is said this very material makes up the tip of Odin's mystical spear, Gungnir. The mythical Æsir metal was forged in the fires of Eitri and Brokkr workshop and then cooled in the River Styx by Hephaestus - all while being under the supervision of her parents: Odin and Athena. Like Gungnir, the vambraces would have been virtually indestructible had Hephaestus not cooled the metal cuffs in the River of Styx. Due to this process, the sacred river granted the cuffs indestructibility and the ability to deflect gunfire, blasts, non-impact grenades, missiles, and other projectile weaponry. The metallic cuffs can also absorb the impact of melee weapons, explosions, and even brute strength. After it's creation and the completion of the engraving process, Athena took the severed head of Medusa once more and allowed the drops of her blood to run along the runic engravings. Because of this, Helena is able to petrify her opponents for no longer than sixty seconds after slamming her metallic cuffs together, which causes a wave of green spherical energy to be released. (More details will be added when I return, including drawbacks like cooldown etc).
Lasso of Apollo: Foreseeing into Shield-Maiden's future, the Sun God dipped an ordinary lasso into the sun and infused his divine power with its plasma. Because of his diverse positions as a God, Apollo was able to also bestow the lasso with many of his divine powers. The Lasso of Apollo was then sent as a gift to Athena who then gave it to her daughter, knowing what fate had in store for her. Due to being dipped into the sun, the lasso is highly conductive and is able to produce heat of great intensity, enabling the user to burn opponents when subdued, even potentially incapacitating them when hot enough. While the lasso normally burns at at heat of at least 60 degrees, if an enemy ensnared by it tries to break free from it's captivity, Helena can mentally raise the temperature of the lasso. Being imbued with divine plasma, the lasso has an incalculable amount of heat potential. The lasso is also able to heal wounds due to Apollo being the God of Healing, but the time length of the healing process depends on how serious the injury is. It is also capable of restoring all forms ones injuries when given enough time. Being the God of Plagues, the Sun God bestowed the lasso with disease creation and manipulation, allowing the user to mentally select which plague they wish to give to their opponent or amplify already existing ones. The longevity of the sickness once the lasso is removed however various from individual to individual. If her opponent is immune to all forms disease, this will not harm them. However, further damage inflicted to previous wounds is possible. Due to Apollo being the God of Truth, the lasso is able to compel seemingly anyone, including divine beings, held by it to tell and understand the absolute truth. However, very few have been capable of resisting its affects. The lasso has been shown to cite prophecies related to the Greek Pantheon, but in fragments. It is also completely unbreakable, immutable, and indestructible.
Athena's Tiara: Formed from the remains of Zeus's and Athena's legendary Aegis shield, the Tiara of Athena is indestructible. Athena has entered many battlefields using this tiara as a throwing weapon in order to pour her wrath from a distance. Given to her daughter for formal occasions, Helena quickly discovered that the tiara could serve as a boomerang. The throwing weapon is razor sharp on the edges, can cut through most substances, and protects its wearer from telepathic attacks. It has been rumored that the most powerful telepaths could infiltrate the tiara's defenses but with some difficulty.
Shield of Knowledge: What good is an enchanted sword without it's enchanted shield? Mímir, the wise one, once told Odin. The Shield of Knowledge was a gift from Odin to Helena, in order to protect her from her enemies, knowing full well she had made many because of his mistake. Aware he could not be there to protect her or give up Mímir, his trusted advisor, the All-Father sought to advise his daughter in all things without having to be present. Taking the Æsir metal, Uru, to Eitri and Brokkr; Odin requested the two to forge a shield with the face of a sculpted Mímir imprinted into the center. Once the shield was forged; the Father of the Slain then wandered into Jotunheim, the land of the giants, and paid an old visit to Mímisbrunnr "Mímir's Well," - a well that granted cosmic knowledge to those who drank from it's waters. It was this same well, Odin sacrificed his eye in exchange for this knowledge, and animated Mímir's decapitated head. Adding the same herbs that once revived Mímir into the well, the All-Father then plunged the shield into it's waters and began chanting the same revival rune from the myths. It was through this act, the shield became a sentient object -blessed with the gift of nigh omniscience, and could advise it's fated owner, Helena Troy. The Shield of Knowledge now speaks through the sculpted face of Mímir, advising it's owner with vast knowledge and wisdom.
Sword of Valhalla: Fully aware the Gods of Olympus would pour their wrath against his only daughter, Odin ordered the Valkyries to present a young Helena, a magical sword called the "Sword of Valhalla." Not wanting her daughter to be aware of her Norse lineage, Athena took the sword instead and waited for Helena's foretold journey to begin. When the Gods of Olympus discovered the whereabouts of Helena on the concealed island of Atholis, they wasted no time in laying siege against the island's capital, Pallas. Knowing the prophecy had begun, Athena bestowed her daughter with her father's gift and banished her from the realm to preserve her life. According to the Valkyries, the blade of the sword was forged by the Sons of Ivaldi from the duplicate rings that dripped from Odin's golden ring, Draupnir. Odin being the God of Magic, enchanted the sword to contain a fraction of his abilities. It is also said the sword was one of the few magical swords that lit the Great Halls of Valhalla. Because of it's enchantment, the sword holds the power to summon a platoon of Einherjar; a nod to Odin being the God of Death. The rightful owner of the sword can mentally command the enchanted sword to transform into any ancient melee weapon: Pointed Weapons, Edged Weapons, and Trauma Weapons; a nod to Odin being the God of War. It is capable of cutting the fabric of reality, opening portals to the Nine Worlds. While not indestructible, the sword is able to multiply itself into eight swords, every ninth night, due to being forged from Draupnir. Down the center of the blade, a wide groove is inscribed with shimmering runes, granting the user the ability to recall the sword from any distance. Unlike Mjolnir, the Sword of Valhalla cannot pass through barriers; instead the sword has been enchanted to magically teleport itself to the user, a minor flaw as it takes a minute to return to it's owner. It is also said the sword can only be wielded by the warrior who will fight beside Odin and help lead the Einherjar into battle during Ragnarök.
Breastplate of the Light Elves (Ljósálfar): A solid material glimmering with the Light of Álfheim. (Work In Progress, and currently in use)
Breastplate of Virtue: Made out of the Olympian material called Adamantine. In Hellenism, Adamantine was used by Perseus to decapitate Medusa's head, and by Cronus to slice Uranus into pieces. (Work in Progress)
Jet of Darkness: The invisible jet is used solely for reconnaissance missions. In an age of advanced technology, the depowered goddess uses the jet to bypass air defense radars in order to remain unseen. (Work In Progress, and does not own yet)
