comic books: nothing new, i re-read some Wolverine issues for fun
manga: caught up to Batuque, super good stuff; re-read D. Gray-Man and caught up on Tenkaichi
my opinion = fax
ur opinion = creditless
Haven't read a book in a long while and it's time to change that. I feel like I have degraded intellectually because of the lack of reading books lol.
Which Wolverine issues did you go for?
I might check up on Batuque and Tenkachi because of you. I looked them up and they look nice. The last manga I read was Naruto (I tried to catch up) and Vagabond (trying to finish it).
Pretty good lineup! I haven't read new comics in a long time so hopefully one of these days something compelling comes around.
There's a lot of great current books out there - DC, Marvel and tons of Indie ones. I always tend to read new releases as well as some back issues (stuff that I want to re-read or something older that I haven't read before).
New Hulk run is good!! It's like Immortal Hulk 1.5 etc
It's great. It's really engaging and I love that they are treating it like a horror book once again. I think that horror works extremely well with Hulk as a character.
The Transformers have always been a franchise that looks great on paper, sounds awesome and should have some great content surrounding it, but always lacked that little special thing to take it one step further. However, because of Warren Johnson's involvement with this book, I decided to pick it up and boy, was it awesome!
I really loved what we got for this one issue and I can't wait for what's to come.
I am even more excited that we will get more books which will be written by Joshua Williamson and RObert Kirkman. It will be a great ride.
@the_kidd: The Authority is definitely worth it. Even though not all of the volumes are as good as the og one, they are still entertaining and serve as a nice read.
A very well written blog piece which lines out in the clearest way your love for these artists and also points out at their strenghts and weaknesses. What I liked about this is that you do not overrate the penciler's work but you also point out their weaknesses and critiques they have received from their fans and other creators as well. Very well written indeed and interesting at the same time.
Also, to add to my previous comments, I very much agree with you on almost everything that was mentioned. What I did not expect is definitely putting Hitch first, I did not see that one coming.
In a way I am actually excited to see what he will bring to the table once he starts handling DC characters.
Yes, some of his recent runs and books have been mediocre at best but he has continued with the same good quality on Spider-Man for all these years. There are some characters that he just handles so well. Let's hope there's a particular character like that in the DC universe as well.
Damn, I most definitely did not expect this. I am actually looking forward to this issue, it was actually a pretty good preview, but as I know King - offers a good preview but after the first few pages it all falls apart.
