He was one of the earliest contributors to the Weekly Shonen Jump magazine (before it was even weekly), writing four different series for them in their first two years.

"Boku ni wa Boku no Yume ga Aru" (Hinomaru Bunko) makes a rental comic debut. After working for Masaaki Sato and Tetsuya Chiba's assistant, in 1968 he serialized "Kujira Daigo" from the first issue of Weekly Shonen Jump. After that, he rejected the exclusive contract and left the jump. He drew popular works such as "Apache Yakyuugun" in "Shonen King" and "Tobanai Tsubasa" in "Weekly Shonen Sunday".

In 1993, on 9/8, he was found dead in his apartment by relatives. He died at the age of 50. The cause of death was cerebral hemorrhage, and the death was 2 days before it was discovered 9-6.
