it is difficult to tell which is Thanos or Gem....The only base Thanos feats are him sitting on his chair and laughing at Ronan...which is not a battle feat. Also defeating the Nova Corp off screen and wipes out thousands of planets again off screen, kills where people made the gauntlet glove more feats and hinted in flash backs. There is no such character as MCU 'Base Thanos' it is all speculation and will only lead to heated confused and angry debates...it could be argued 'Base Thanos' did not use the Gem and under his own power punched the Hulk out of Banner?
