The Author

The Author was an alien from another dimension and the last of its kind. It created a tome which later became known as the Word of God. The book contained words which can alter reality and was the source of the Author's power. Using the book, the Author explored different dimensions in order to find power sources to feed on. At one point it had found its way to Earth during ancient times and fed on the planets power before leaving. The Author, however, mistakenly left the book on Earth and as result could not return to its home dimension.

Many ages later, the Author would be summoned to modern day New York after it had detected the flagrant use of its book by Isaac Newton. There the Author sought to reclaim its book and destroy the Earth, fighting with Earth's Avengers as well as the Sorcerers Supreme. The Author was eventually defeated when Doctor Strange had tricked it into destroying its own book and the source of its powers.
