Warren Worthington III is Archangel, a mutant and founding member of the X-Men. He sports some nifty wings which allow him to fly. Recently, it was discovered that his blood allows him to heal others.
The Cheyarafim are Mutants with angel wings, such as Angel (Warren Worthington III) and Icarus (Jay Guthrie). They were first introduced in Uncanny X-Men by the character Azazel.

As a side effect of his modifications, Warren's skin was also turned a light shade of blue.
Jean Grey School For Higher Learning was created by Wolverine in the aftermath of the X-Men's Schism. He named it after the first female X-Man and long lost love, Jean Grey. The academy is also known as "Grey's School for Gifted Youngsters".

But it all went horribly wrong when The Legacy and Transmode virus' merged into something far more deadly, thus giving birth to The Vi-Lock Race, most of whom were once Earth's Mightiest Heroes...and Villains.

Member of the original X-Men, the original X-Factor and the original X-Terminators. The billionaire-winged mutant financed the creation of X-Factor, and later attempted to kill himself when he lost his wings. Transformed into the Horseman Death and later renamed himself Archangel, he missed the disbanding of the original X-Terminators.
