Delphos

A warrior in the Shi'ar Imperial Army, Delphos dreamed of becoming a member of the Imperial Guard, a multi-ethnic group of super-powered alien beings who act as enforcers of the laws of the Shi'ar Empire. When it was announced that the Guardsman named Oracle was soon to be married, thus freeing up her post in the Guard, Delphos sought to claim that position for herself and volunteered for a dangerous mission to quell a rebellion on a frontier moon. Following the successful completion of her mission, Delphos' skills were recognized and she was initiated into the Guard as a member of its elite cadre, the Superguardians.

Only a few days later, Delphos foresaw an assassination attempt on the Shi'ar Empress Lilandra and alerted her teammates. Even with all possible precautions taken, the act was carried out by Black Bolt, a member of the royal family of the Earth race known as the Inhumans who was under the control of the Kree soldier named Ronan the Accuser, a member of the alien Kree who sought revenge on the Shi'ar. However, it was not Lilandra who died but the shape-shifting Imperial Guardsman named Hobgoblin who had assumed his Empress' form.
