You can blame this one on a dream I had about thirty years ago. I had a dream about a random group of superheroes. One of them was a blonde man in a yellow costume with red cape, gloves, trunks, and boots. He was standing on a roof, one foot up on the ledge, looking down towards the street. When I woke up, I realized that it was Erik Larsen's Mighty Man, but in Mighty Mouse's costume.
Ever since, I've wanted to see a pic of Mighty Man in the mouse's costume, and Mighty Mouse in the man's costume. Man would be shocked like "What the heck," and Mouse would be pleasantly surprised. Well, I've waited all this time for a competent artist to take a shot at it, but I finally had to try it myself.
I know this has issues, but as you may have guessed from the title, this was done with just MS Paint and the computer mouse. And boy is my hand tired!
The Process... ugh, the process... |
First, I found the Mighty Mouse outline on WeDrawAnimals.com:
It apears to have come from this animation shot:
I cleared the MM name from the chest, and erased the trunks:
Unfortunately, I wasn't even thinking about recording the steps for this, so the next thing was the finished product. To put it simply though: it was a whole lot of work with the eraser, the pencil, and the color fill. It took about four hours or so.
As I said, the costume is modelled after Mighty Man:
I had to do one with a black background for my phone's lock screen. :)
Thanks for checking it out.
