Spoilers are not cool. No one likes having something they are looking forward to spoiled. To date we haven't had an official rule concerning this-- we simply dealt with it when it happened because it isn't a rampant issue. For future references:
- If you create a spoiler thread it should be something like [Movie/TV show spoiler warning] Not [THIS MAJOR CHARACTER DIED. THE GUY EVERYONE LOVES IS DEAD. DEEEEAAD!!!!!!]
- If you post a spoiler in a non-spoiler discussion thread use the spoiler or spoiler block option (they helpfully have spoiler in the name) and post a spoiler warning.
- Do not send spoilers to people. This troll behavior and will be treated as such.
- Be careful when titling "leak" threads. Some people do not wish to see leaked information.
So we'll get banned for spoiling things? I find that unfair. Its my right to be a spoiling dilweed!
Probably not. The severity of response may range from a light warning to a temp ban, depending on your past history. If you are a trouble maker you may get a temp ban (length to be determined by history/mod issuing ban. If you are newer or have little-no history of being trouble some you will probably receive an advisement/warning.
If this doesn't apply to you-- congratulations. You have sufficient maturity to not require babysitting. Allow me to commend your grasp of social etiquette.
