Biography
Jaimie Alexander was born in South Carolina, USA on March 12, 1984. The only girl with four brothers, she is a self described comic book nerd and fan citing her brothers as the reason. She is especially fond of Marvel comic characters X-23, Gambit and Sif.
Acting Profile
Despite being kicked out of theater class in high school for not being able to sing, Alexander would always harbor an interest in acting. Alexanders acting break out role came in The Other Side where she was unexpectedly cast for the leading role after initially helping out with male actors scripting readings. She has appeared in various television shows such as Kyle XY and It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, before given her relatively first big role in Marvels Thor.

Sif
Alexander portrays the warrior Lady Sif in both 2011's Thor and 2013's Thor: The Dark World alongside actors Idris Elba and Natalie Portman. A fan of the Sif she talks about her future as the character "I loved playing Sif. She's definitely one of my favorite characters I've ever taken on, and I would be delighted to be in more Marvel films playing her. It was such good experience that I could only wish to do that again, and I think there's a strong possibility that that could happen. Fingers crossed." prior to the announcement of Thor: Dark World. Alexander would also undergo a physical transformation to fit the role of the warrior goddess explaining that the part required hours a day in the gym.
