    Summary

This version of Jean Grey was cast off from her home reality for her crimes, so she traveled to Earth-998 as the newly resurrected Queen Madelyne I. Her ultimate goal was to use an alternate Nate Grey as the ultimate weapon, yet she was unable to because their powers were too unstable and would burn out, making them effectively useless to her goals. So, she traveled to different realities to search for the perfect version of Nate Grey. At some point, she met up with Nate Grey of the Age of Apocalypse reality and she perished by his hand. This is her respect thread.

*Note: Though the bio states that Red Queen appeared in X-Man #5, this contradicts what Jean says in X-Man #67, where she confirms that she replaced Madelyne, not was Madelyne. Not only that, but back then, Madelyne did regain her memories, which would not make sense if she were an imposter. Finally, the current X-Men editor believes Madelyne that currently existed was created by Nate Grey initially, which debunks that Red Queen was Madelyne beyond the X-Man issues 67-70.

Jean forces Nate to sit. Since there was no sign of psychic emanations that seem to signal her telekinesis at work, it can be presumed she forces him telepathically. (X-Man #68)

Jean (as Madelyne) has invaded multiple Nate Grey's heads, including this one from the Age of Apocalypse, to manipulate them. She then proceeds to psychically invade the mind of AoA Nate Grey (Earth-295) to project to him an image of the Spiral, a pattern of multiple Earths from different realities, and shows him alternate versions of himself. (X-Man #68)
After finding Earth-295's Nate Grey, Jean spent months installing a series of controls in his mind to make him her weapon. She demonstrates this by forcing him to kill an Asian girl against his will. It is this feat that enables her to do all she does to Nate Grey in her power and skill sections. (X-Man #68)
Jean had seemingly installed the same controls in other Nate Grey's, as demonstrated by her controlling Earth-998's Nate Grey to create what looked like a sun to destroy Asia. Unfortunately, his powers were broken and insufficient, so his attack did nothing in the end. (X-Man #70)
