Then, reprinted from the black and white Paragon Publications original Fun Comics #1, it’s Nightveil in “Love/Death” A young boy’s attachment for his grandfather keeps the deceased man’s spirit trapped in his corpse, until NV convinces the boy to let go. Story and art by Bill Black, the first time this story has been seen in color. Finally, NV acts as host and narrator in a fantasy story called “First Night On The Job”, written by Phil White, and drawn by Alex Miclat. Being Issue #5 we are finally introduced to a brief history of Nightveil's origin.
Nightveil, Laura Wright, was the costumed crime fighter "Blue Bulleteer" during the 1940's of AC Comics story universe. She was eventually contacted by the wizard Azagoth who decided to impart to Laura the secrets of sorcery and magic from his dimension.
In the process, Laura was able to halt the aging process but she was also secluded for many years in her mansion studying sorcery and it has affected her social knowledge and events of current times. However she does learn things along the way and actually ends up meeting her former beau who was her fellow crime fighting partner the Black Commando during the 1940's. He'd been kept in suspended animation by his government directors and the story involves them reuniting and stories about their past exploits.
There are two additional stories involving Nightveil and the first one involves a boy and his zombie grandfather. The last story involves a crook stealing a hover craft type car.
