    Poll Is Raditz A Planet Buster? (172 votes)

    yes 41%
    no 58%

    I say no, or at least, he shouldn't be. toriyama really messed up making roshi a moon buster (I know moons are really tiny in the DB universe though); it messed up DBZ power scaling forever after that

    @mortein: Raditz could scale up to Planet+, if we put Piccolo's moon-vaporizing feat at small planet, meaning Piccolo's power would be multi-moon at best. While Raditz is casually that powerful, so he's multi-small planetary to planet+.

    @takenstew22: Bro, DB/DBZ and anime power levels are EXPONENTIAL increases, they don't work at all like kinetic energy or mass lmao- only normies do that.

    If we put Piccolo at small planet to multi-moon, then Raditz should be casually small-planetary, above planet level at best. Vegeta and his father casually conquered and could surface-wipe larger and super-powerful planets, they also casually one-shot low-level planets (like earth) into oblivion in filler.

    Not to mention, if Cell is solar system level at 5 billion (hypothetically), then it should make sense for 800,000 to be star level, 1F Frieza's casual Planet Vegeta-busting feat was calced at low Dwarf star level, which I think still requires a power level of 50,000- As he did it with almost no effort. This puts Saiyan saga Vegeta at Large planet to Multi-planetary, Raditz at Planet-level. Even Buff Roshi was at least moon level.

    Raditz= 5x suppressed Piccolo= 38x moon level (volume).

    @takenstew22: Mars level casually though, lmao. Just as King Vegeta should be casually Planet+. Piccolo's moon-vaporizing feat should scale to almost Mars level of AP.

    Raditz= 4x Mars level.

    He can vaporize Mars in one serious attack, but it would yield planet-level energy with full AP.

    @temsbumbumm: Lol, early Piccolo and Lower-class saiyans are Small planet level at 30% of Raditz's PL, Vegeta was going to vaporize Earth, he casually destroyed a planet in Filler- and so has his father.

    Frieza in First form at 10%, blew up Planet Vegeta- which is calced at 5.3x Earth size- with 10x gravity, and is stated to be star level in his 2nd form.

    So Raditz could likely vaporize Mars- just as easily as Piccolo vaporized the moon. Which means Raditz could have at least planet-level AP- 21TB Buff Roshi was moon level, while base Piccolo was over 3x stronger (In linear PLs), Piccolo's moon feat also requires Small planet level AP.

    Any low-class saiyan and even King Piccolo are large moon to small planetary, individually a threat to the planet and humanity.

    @saddhussus85:

    Lol, early Piccolo and Low-class saiyans are small-planet level at 30% of Raditz's PL,

    Lol, your argument is automatically debunked once you base it on power levels. If you actually read/watched the series, it should be obvious to you that power levels are a useless metric.

    Vegeta was going to vaporize Earth

    Vegeta was being hyperbolic. He also said he was the strongest in the universe. Did you also forget that part?

    Vegeta just got his ego scratched by a low class saiyan, its obvious he would be very hyperbolic due to his arrogant nature

    he casually destroys a planet in Filler- and so did his father. Frieza in First form at 10%, blew up Planet Vegeta- which is calced at 5.3x Earth size with 10x gravity, and is stated to be star level in his 2nd form.

    Anime filler doesn't count... cause it is anime filler. Any calc putting planet vegeta at "5.3x earth size" is nonsense, I assure. In fact, it having higher gravity would mean it is actually far smaller than earth

    So Raditz could vaporize Mars- just as Piccolo vaporized the moon. which means Raditz is at least planet-level AP. 21TB Buff Roshi was moon level, while suppressed Piccolo is 6x stronger (Not in canon exponential PLs), and his moon feat requires almost Mars level AP.

    Nice fanfiction, but in reality, the most impressive thing raditz ever destroyed was some mountains, and he didn't even completely destroy it, only the top of it

    Planet level raditz is a big meme

    @nemesisreloaded: BS, Piccolo obliterated the moon at 340, a vaporization feat, small planet level- then around Mars at 400. Narratively 4 times stronger than 21TB Buff Roshi, who was at least moon level.

    @temsbumbumm: Bruh, you can't be serious... Average Frieza Force mooks like Raditz can casually conquer and life-wipe (even surface-wipe) planets like Earth, on a regular basis. Anyone who's more than a few times stronger than Buff Roshi (moon+) should be small planetary/a threat to Earth and humanity. So the likes of Raditz would scale above planetary AP-wise, or at least multi-small planet.

    Power levels are also in-universe power measurements in DBZ- even if inconsistent with irl metric powerscaling, you can't just disregard them.

    Raditz= (6x) King Piccolo= (25x) 21st TB Buff Roshi= 4x Small planetary= 36x small Moon level.

    Change my mind.

    @temsbumbumm: And Perfect Cell was solar system level, unless you're denying confirmed statements and scaling... so? Then, it's not far-fetched for 2nd form Frieza to be above star level, or for Raditz to be planetary either.

    Since Vegeta was also 500x stronger than Small moon, scales over 50x above a moon-vaping Piccolo in volume... So how is Vegeta not beyond planetary?

    Skill issue, you're just trash at basic anime scaling lol.

    He got fodderized by raditz whose strongest attack is mountain surface busting 🤷‍♂️

    Do you even know the difference between AP and DC? Or why villains don't just destroy the planet right away?

    I know the difference. And I know why villians don't destroy the planet, they don't destroy the planet because they don't have enough power to do that.

    All villians confirmed to have planet busting power have attempted to and successfully destroy a planet. Namely frieza (by destroying nameks core), cell, and buu. Aside from these villians, none of them are anywhere near planet busters

    Planet level doesn't mean he needs to destroy earth.

    Weaker characters who is massively below him could completely vaporize the moon. Vaporize not just split or cracking the moon.

    The energy required to casually vaporized the moon is enough to break ot destroy a planet at least the size of mercury which is a planet. Thus he is a planet buster. Simple.

    Ive never read dr slump but from what ive heard Arales earth is super big.

    With that being said, it was stated you need a powerlevel of 10000 to destroy a planet and earth is a small planet by dragonball standards.

    Yes. A normal planet is in DB would probably be a large planet using our standards since earth which is normal by our standards is considered small in the verse. Normal planet in DB is possibly as big as jupiter lmao.
