Arrival isn't an alien invasion movie it's much more of a scientific take on the subject and district 9 is also kind of its own genre like other Neil Blomkamp movies. Edge of Tomorrow, the Tomorrow War, Independence Day, BLA are typically what can be called alien invasion movies.
