    The Amazon princess, blessed with god-like super abilities, Wonder Woman is one of Earth's most powerful defenders of peace, justice, and equality and a member of the Justice League. @modernww2fare: Sadly thats consistent with most comics, and even more so with movie, they don't know what to do with her either.

    I actually think she was very weakened in that series and her personality was kind of bipolar. JLW handle her well in terms of being badass but the animated movie showed she can be outgoing and still be prepared to kick butt.

    Returning to this:

    1. They focused too much on one aspect of her personality, her warrior spirit/ toughness. There was little sweetness, compassion, or nurturing in her portrayal.

    Think the reason they did that was that they had to be able to 'sell' her to a young audience, one that wasn't prepared to deal with the contrasts of her character anymore that they were thinking all that much about the deeper significances of the alternations between Superman and Batman's alter-egoes (that barely appeared in that show).

    It kind of sucks because everyone was pretty one dimensional. Bruce Timm said so himself. If you go back and watch John Stewart in the first couple of episodes........oh boy. It's probably what killed the character for me.

    When did he ever say something like that.

    And that seems FAR from what several people remember.

    Especially when it comes to characters like Hawkgirl, Flash, and John.

    No, there where definitely times where they were on screen together but didn't have romantic moments.

    @captain13:

    Except she wasn't perfect at all, she was inconsistent and flat in terms of character and personality. I just came back from watching the 2009 movie of her with my younger cousins and she was handled WAY better there than she ever was in the DCAU. Like that article you posted and many others have said on this thread, they just didn't know what to do with her.

    That's a load.
