    He was first a rival to the Hochet-Bourdon duo before becoming their ally. In the last albums, he was promoted lieutenant, then captain and headed an anti-terrorism cell. Jealous of his prerogatives, he cooperates little with Commissioner Bourdon… who will have him wiretapped (Mortal Puzzle). He has a son, Jean-Pierre, a young photographer, who is killed in "Le Contrat du siècle".
