    French series.

The eponymous hero is loosely based on Rouletabille, to which reference is sometimes made. This character is also a tribute to another comic book character, Valhardi. Journalist, Ric Hochet regularly cooperates with the judicial police. His investigations often take place in a fantastic atmosphere that hides sordid murderous impulses and the narrow interests of the protagonists. The theme of the double occurs in many albums, often associated with that of filiation, the ghost, or even the "false death".
